Last Friday, 13 August, femLENS launched the five months project – Narva mediaLAB.

The lab is aimed at different groups of people – youths and families, the elderly, as well as bloggers and media professionals.

Over the next five months we will hold regular meetings and cover topics such as: mobile phone usage and safety, poster making workshops, documentary photography projects, movie nights, round tables with media professionals and the public, working with family archives and much more. At the end of the five months, we hope that there will be a new understanding of the media process, a lot more photo exhibitions and books produced in Narva, and a cross-generational dialog.

This initiative is being supported by the German Embassy in Tallinn, as well as local support from Narva Linna Arendus and the Mayor’s office of Katri Raik.

We’re grateful to everyone who came to the opening and looking forward to the meetings in this beautiful setting – on the border with Russia overlooking two castles.
